Devoted to the living art of theatre.
Dedicated to producing important works of world theatre
and encouraging new playwrights through readings and full productions.

The Deptford Players mainstage productions are on hiatus. See our main page.

The Deptford Players' Mainstage season usually consisted of at least one new play, usually selected from plays read previously as part of our reading series.

The remainder of our season of mainstage productions was made up of classical plays, regardless of the age in which they were written -- Antiquity, Elizabethan, Restoration, Victorian, and more. Especial interest will be given to overlooked plays; plays that are rarely produced but which are deserving of production.

These classical plays are the history of theatre and of our culture and, at their best, a study of them is a study of the human condition.
